![]() ![]() But now I have found that I need an alternative to the alternative. I came to Stitcher in search of an alternative to Apple’s native podcast player which is even worse. So why bother downloading if that’s the case? When I do connect to wifi the app just says “waiting”. By biggest complaint is that episodes I have already downloaded will not play unless I’ve connected to wifi. You have to download individual episodes. There is just too much going on in the user interface. Since the last update it’s better but I don’t find it to be very intuitive. And as long as I’m ranting, why does Stitcher only about 95% accurately track which shows I’ve listened to? (It mostly works, but definitely not completely). Not fun with Stitcher to set these up all over again when you have to uninstall/reinstall. PS - More broadly, why are the queue and download preferences (automatically download, keep X number of episodes downloaded) not stored in the account so they are not lost? The streaming TV services don’t require setting up all over again for a new screen. ![]() (I had several hours of episodes from different shows in the queue, in anticipation of a long drive.) Would really like to see more QA before releases, and the above-mentioned storing of queue as a mitigation to the likelihood of crashing. Would be 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 if it were not entirely unsurprising that this happened. And while you’re at it, please show the total length of all episodes in queue. That does fix it, but please for the love of everything good, store which episodes I have in queue, so that I don’t have to redo this when the app crashes. Yet again, had an issue where the solution is to uninstall/install. ![]()
